While a beautiful landscape may contain an assortment of shrubs, trees, plants, mulch and other key features, it also attracts a great amount of varying insects. Some of these insects may populate and remain in the landscape features, but others can infest and target your customer’s lawn. That’s why Spring-Green franchises offer a Total Insect Control Program.
There are two main types of lawn damaging insects:
- Surface feeding insects
- Sub-surface feeding insects
Surface feeding insects attack the surface of the turf by feeding and chewing on grass blades and extracting the plant’s juice. You can often find these insects hiding in grass or burrowing in the thatch and debris that remain above the soil. When burrowing and hiding in a lawn, these insects can be difficult to locate.
Sub-surface feeding insects can be found feeding in the grass roots. These types of insects may include grubs, and their feeding tendency can cause extensive damage to your customer’s lawn.
Your Spring-Green training and licensing procedure will include teaching you how to implement a successful Total Lawn Insect Control Program for your customer that attacks both surface feeding and sub-surface feeding insects. The Spring-Green Total Insect Control Program also helps prevent infestation that could otherwise require an extensive renovation or costly reseeding procedure for your customer.
